افزایش بدون برنامه قیمت خودرو خودکشی اقتصادی است که در بلندمت سلامتی مردم را مورد هدف قرار خواهد داد. عدم توجه به ایجاد مزیت رقابتی در خودرو سازی و بستن درهای گمرکات و افزایش قیمت خودروی داخلی بدون توجه به کیفیت و مرغوبیت منجر به افزایش قیمت حباب خودرو در داخل کشور می شود ، این افزایش و سودآوری های کوتاه مدت تولید کنندگان منجر به تداوم عدم توجه به کیفیت و ایجاد مزیت رقابتی در مقایسه با خودروهای خارجی شده و عواقب سنگینی را برای سلامتی مردم به همراه خواهد داشت ، آتش سوزی خودروها در ده سال گذشته ، تصادفات جاده ای و مرگ ومیر شهروندان در جاده ها به دلیل عدم توانایی کیفی خودرو در پاسخگویی به جاده های غیر استاندارد از جمله عواقبی هستند که در حال حاضر توجهی به آن نمی شود ، در این شرایط خریداران مجبور به خرید هر خودرویی با هر کیفیتی و با هر قیمتی هستند و دود ناشی از افزایش قیمت نه تنها از نظر اقتصادی آنان را خفه می کند بلکه کاهش مرغوبیت و کیفیت خودروها به دلیل عدم وجود فضای رقابتی منجر به کاهش ضریب ایمنی خودروها در بلند مدت افزایش تصادفات جاده ای و مرگ و میر خواهد شد . در این وضعیت تنها خودرو ساز و دلالان هستند که سود ناشی از خودرو را به جیب خود می زنند .

در سال 97 تعداد فوت شدگان حوادث جاده ای 17500 نفر گزارش شده است که معادل سقوط 175 هواپیما با 100 نفر می باشد ، که متاسفانه کشور ایران رتبه 189 از میان 190 کشور در جهان را بخود اختصاص داده است . مطالعه در علل حوادث نشاندهنده استاندارد نبودن جاده ها ، خودرو و عدم توانایی کنترل توسط راننده بوده است که علت آخر را در افزایش کیفیت و قدرت کنترل خودرها و قابلیت کنترل خودرو توسط راننده می دانند.
